FairPoint re-brands 400+ facilities

FairPoint Communications completes merger with Verizon wire line operations in Maine, New Hampshire & Vermont. As a result FairPoint is now the 8th largest telephone company in the U.S.

Strategic Signage has been retained to be their Single Source Contact in Re-Branding 400+ facilities, as well as providing a fleet branding program for their 1500 service vehicles and over 6000 payphones. The entire program is expected to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2008.

Morr-is Stored

A new 3 story, 150,000 square ft. climate controlled self-storage facility under construction late 2005 had no name or identity. The owner/developer William Morris came to SSS requesting our expertise in developing a logo and signage that would brand their new facility. Along with branding the exterior of the building, we were requested to develop way-finding signage that would direct the customers to over 500 individual storage units inside the facility. Several other miscellaneous types of signs and plan boards were developed as part of this sign package.

We were faced with one major challenge. A strict sign ordnance was in place that restricted the type, size and location of the sign. The restrictions would have made the sign ineffective if we stayed within the code. However, with much research and preparation: attending variance meetings, town board meetings etc., we were successful in getting permission to fabricate and install their new signs with a sign area of over 225 square feet of illuminated signage.

Today, the client is extremely satisfied with their signage, both exterior and interior. Feedback from prospective customers has been positive. The facility is recognizable from several major highways due to the proper sign size and location.

WellCare

Strategic Signage has completed numerous projects for WellCare in Florida, Georgia, New York and Ohio.

The projects all have been turn-key and project managed from conception to final completion. The projects ranged from large exterior signage projects, interior graphics displays, and new awnings with graphics, parking lot signage and directional signage.

Verizon

Strategic Signage has a re-branding contract with a Nationally recognized Telecommunications company. The first phase of our contract was to convert the sports arena in Washington DC from what was known as the "MCI Center" to the "Verizon Center." We were responsible for replacing all of the exterior signage and interior signage for the facility with the challenge to have the identity of the arena changed in time for the 2006 NCAA Basketball Tournaments. Several hundred interior signs, including the basketball courts and hockey ice, now bear the new logo. Larger exterior signs were built and installed over the following months.

We performed program management for both the Domestic and international re-branding program.

Capital District Transportation

In Mid 2006, Strategic Signage was awarded a project to work with the Capital District Transportation (CDTA) to upgrade many of their bus route signage.

Approximately 2,800 signs of various size and type were required to upgrade and enhance the CDTA's image at the bus routes in and around the tri-city area of Albany, New York. It was a fairly aggressive program.

In late spring, they contracted with us to develop the signs, including the graphics and layout. Several prototypes were made and presented to the management team at CDTA. Approvals were obtained and immediately the fabrication of the signs commenced. By the fall of 2006, 2,800 signs were deployed to the field for installation.

Metro-North Railroad

In early 2007, Strategic Signage was awarded a two (2) year term contract with the Metro-North Railroad, which is managed by New York City's Mass
Transportation Authority. The contract is an all inclusive contract that handles all of their day to day requirements for all types of interior and exterior signage. Over the past 6 months, we have furnished several types of interior wayfinding signs.
